A Memoir of a Poet

I walk with God from this day on.

His helping hand I lean upon

I hold His hand and let go never

I talk with God and He understands

He listens to my prayer as I implore.

My dear God, this is my prayer,

My humble plea

May the Lord be ever with me.

In You, My Lord and God, I believe

There is no death but only salvation

There is no fear but courage and strength.

There is no forlorn but Your mercy and love.

I lean on Him forever

And He forsakes me never

He’ll not fail me

As long as my faith is strong in Him

Whatever road I may walk alone.

He guides me from this day on

And I never walk alone

While I walk with God.
