Silver Moon
Composed by Denis Toh (Date: 11th June 2005, Time: 4.42pm)
In the velvet sky
Rested the silver moon
In fair and pallid
Moonlight shines from the heaven
Over the water tenderly
Gazing affectionately at the human dwelling
Oh silver moom please stay with me
Tell me where my love is
The maiden with flaxen hair
For I yearn to see her
Under your pale moonlight.

Getting better man! Keep on writing…It’s ok to crib from existing material when you first started out but try to be more original.
However, it’s good that you’ve developed your own style and you’re so inspired to keep on trying…Now stay away from phrases and imagery that isn’t truly yours (I’ve read them elsewhere so i know they aren’t yours)…BE ORIGINAL!
Good luck Denis! You’ll make a great poet one day…remember me willya?

A lovely one I should say…
It is interesting to use the moon as a metaphor in this poem…Being a poet who is really dedicated into the stream of romance, Denis put this one interestingly unique in tone and voice…I’d rather say that the moon can be viewed as a shared dream between not just the man but also the woman…Really a classic…
